The work splits into two parallel tracks: software for problems that don't fit a typical product, and physical things made for a specific need. Both share the same principle — start from a problem, not from a capability.
Approach
Each project begins with a specific problem. Not a category, not a market, not a pitch. The problem is the brief, and the brief defines what counts as done.
The work is deliberate by default. Tools and stacks get chosen for what the problem needs, not what's fashionable. Scope stays small enough to finish.
Background
Seren Works operates as a solo independent studio. The two pillars exist because the work has consistently moved between them — software where it solves the problem cleanly, physical making where it doesn't. Splitting the studio along that line would be artificial.
The studio is set up to stay small. No staff, no overhead, no business model that requires growth to make sense.
Currently
Seren Works is not accepting new projects at this time. Existing relationships continue.
